About

This was the first BCIG Virtual Conference (British Cochlear Implant Group), with an audience of Audiologists, Clinical Scientists and Speech & Language Therapists.

Brief

The brief was to deliver a professional multi stage virtual medical conference with exhibition. This included:

  • 2 concurrent live stages
  • The ability to display medical abstracts/posters
  • Tech suite break out rooms for principle sponsors, with live meetings and on demand content
  • Live captioning throughout
  • An ability to capture engagement for CPD points.

Solution

Delegates took part in this event by visiting a bespoke event website, built using the Crowdcomms platform. As a key partner of Crowdcomms, Quadrant Events have a huge depth of experience in how to deploy this platform and build out features to suit your own requirements.

Our qVirtual studios were utilised to record many keynote speakers before the event, and provide two concurrent, branded, professional livestreams for the event which included live captioning throughout the two days. With such a complex event pre-production was a vital ingredient, and along with stage management for all speakers, contributed to a seamless production.

The ability to capture CPD engagement was a crucial requirement and we achieved this by hiding codes throughout the platform and content, with a leader board  creating a competitive learning experience. Feedback forms were also used to measure understanding of various topics.
