But the real magic of this achievement lies with our valued clients and partners who nominated and voted for us. We want to shine a spotlight on some of the shared success of our valued partners at the awards this year, and what it meant to them.
Firstly, we come to Alton Towers Resort, one of our valued venue partners to tell us a little about what their win at the awards meant to them and our esteemed work together. Conference Office Sales Manager, Karen Johnson shares their story…
Alton Towers Resort’s Story:
“The Alton Towers Resort are delighted to announce their recent award, winning Gold for ‘Best UK Unusual Venue’ at the Meetings & Incentive Travel Awards held at Battersea Evolution, London. This significant win proves just how popular and the successful the Resort continues to be as a host venue for businesses and groups alike.
The Resort was up against some fantastic competition from across the nation.
It’s truly amazing to win Gold in this category. We pride ourselves on being different and standing out from the competition. These awards are prestigious amongst the industry, and it shows that we are still real contenders within a very popular industry. We are absolutely delighted! There are a multitude of new venues opening year on year and this accolade demonstrates just how truly unique our Conference and Events offering is. We would like to thank our clients for their continued support and for their votes in helping place Alton Towers Resort at the top of the category.
We have been working with Quadrant Events for several years now as an AV provider for our corporate events. They provide an excellent level of service to both ourselves and our clients, dedicating their time and knowledge to ensure that what is provided meets and exceeds all of the requirements and expectations. Their efficiency, support and flexibility make them an absolute pleasure to work with!”

We also proudly work with Event Cycle to repurpose event graphics as part of our dedication to sustainability. Event Cycle not only implement sustainable solutions, but also create a lasting social legacy, making life-changing differences to people who need it most. They join us in celebrating a win at the 2023 M&IT Awards and Chantal Kerr-Sheppard, Director of Event Cycle shares their story of being awarded the Gold, Best Positive Impact/Event Legacy Award…
Event Cycle’s Story:
“In short, Event Cycle helps event organisers plan with social purpose and sustainability in mind from concept through to completion of a project. The team identifies opportunities to build in circularity and community benefit at the design phase, whilst enabling carbon conscious decisions during the procurement of materials, suppliers, and contractors. Event Cycle then ensures any necessary leftover materials provide a positive legacy in the community surrounding an event by redistributing items to charitable, educational, and socially beneficial organisations.
It is an incredible honour to win an M&IT Award. It serves as recognition that the changes we are making to the industry are significant and impactful. It also acts as a motivator to the team at Event Cycle to keep striving to find more practical solutions to sustainability challenges, helping to shape an events industry fit for a green future.
And this year, some of that work has been with Quadrant Events, looking for creative ways to keep materials in use and out of landfill. This has included repurposing old graphics into table covers, backdrops and enclosure surround for miniature horses with some of our charity partners. Far better than sending it for recycling!”
– Chantal Kerr-Sheppard, Director of Event Cycle.
A big shout out to all those nominated at this year’s awards and to those who took home prized awards. We are proud to say that Quadrant’s journey of excellence continues and with these two awards shining brightly, our passionate team are determined to raise the bar even higher in the years to come!
In closing, a big ‘Thank You’ to everyone who has been part of this incredible success story, a story that’s built on partnership, passion, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Quadrant Events, together with its partners, is indeed a beacon of inspiration in the event industry. Here’s to many more shared triumphs in the future. 🏆✨
